New Herkul: On the Path to Justice and Social Peace with Our Transparent Identity

Dear Official,

We are writing this letter to you to both express our gratitude for the emphasis on reform and justice articulated in the speeches delivered at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on April 29, 2026, and to briefly inform you about the "New Herkul Peace Platform."

First and foremost, I would like to express that the statements of belief in the successful completion of important reforms through legal processes and the policy framework to be presented, as voiced under the roof of the Parliament, are extremely valuable. The presence of all our political parties assuming responsibility and exhibiting a solution-oriented approach in such sensitive matters, and their esteemed members of parliament, is a significant asset for our country.

Secondly, we are citizens of the Republic of Turkey who set out with the idea of "serving for the sake of Allah" in the past and whose paths intersected with the Fethullah Gülen community for a period. Since 2012, we have carefully followed and tried to understand the developments between our state and the aforementioned structure.

We explicitly state that we do not condone what happened, especially on July 15 and afterward, and we do not share the same sentiments and thoughts as those who carried out this attempted coup.

We are individuals who are committed to the independence and integrity of our country, who consider it our duty to contribute to Turkey's political, economic, and social development, and who believe that our state is a balancing factor not only in the Middle East but also on a global scale. However, we are deeply saddened that we have been judged within the same scope due to the actions of some members of the structure who acted without our knowledge or consent.

During this process, despite not having committed any crime, we regret to state that we were dismissed from our duties, investigations and prosecutions were carried out against us, some of us were arrested, and some were forced to leave our country. It is clear that this situation has also created serious social and psychological effects on our families.

Despite all that has happened, we remain committed to our country, our state, our democratic institutions, and the shared values of our society. We particularly want to emphasize that we have no connection with the statements or actions of the structure in question.

On this occasion, we believe that including millions of people who have suffered injustices, like us, in the announced justice and reform process is of great importance for strengthening social peace and establishing justice. We thank you for your sensitivity and constructive approach, and we wish you success in your endeavors.

Sincerely,

New Herkul Board of Directors
