A Call to the Public and Political Decision-Makers

We, as the New Herkul Platform, are individuals who confront past mistakes, learn from them, and are committed to our country, desiring to re-engage strongly in social life.

Our goal is not to deepen division, but to contribute to the unity and integrity of our country by coming together around common values. At the same time, as citizens who believe in democracy, the rule of law, and the common future of our country, we see the re-establishment of social peace as a vital responsibility during this critical period that Turkey is experiencing.

Painful experiences from the past, especially the processes that emerged after July 15, have opened deep wounds in broad segments of society. We firmly believe that the true perpetrators must be held accountable before justice. However, in line with the principles of individual culpability and the presumption of innocence, addressing the grievances of innocent individuals is also a fundamental requirement of a state governed by the rule of law.

In this context, our call is as follows:

• Dialogue channels that strengthen social reconciliation must be kept open.
• Legal and administrative mechanisms must be established to address grievances.
• Individual culpability must be the basis, and the approach of collective punishment must be avoided.
• The rule of law must be applied to everyone without exception.

We are aware that this process may create certain sensitivities in the short term. However, the social peace achieved in the medium and long term will be a gain far beyond these risks. The renewed rapprochement of segments of society that share the same values will strengthen our country socially, economically, and politically.

We believe that a process conducted with common sense, strong will, and sincere communication will turn into a historical opportunity for normalization and reintegration for Turkey.

We, as the New Herkul Platform, respectfully announce to the public that we stand by every constructive step taken for the unity of our country, the establishment of social peace, and the strengthening of the rule of law.
